| How to avoid making the same Mistakes other Chi owners are making.... (more) |
When you finally bring your Chihuahua puppy home, you’ll want to have a living space all ready for him or her so that he or she can be as comfortable as possible. After all, you are looking for a loyal and loving friend and what better way to show your appreciation than by creating the perfect living space for your dog? To create a living space for your new Chihuahua pup, you’ll want to make sure the space is warm, has plenty of food and water and it should even have a bed for your dog to sleep on.
When selecting a location for your dog’s living space, make sure that the space is free of moisture, is warm and is also free of noise. Sticking your Chihuahua puppy next to a loud air conditioning unit probably won’t be a very good idea, as Chihuahua puppies are generally nervous dogs and don’t like loud noises. You want to make sure that wherever you create your new Chihuahua puppy’s living space that you make sure it’s in a place your dog will actually want to spend time.

You can choose a corner of a room or even an entire room if you have one free. You should put down some padding, such as a blanket or some pillows. Or, you can even get a dog bed from a pet supply store. To get your Chihuahua pup used to the bed, put him or her in it and pet it until it falls asleep. Soon, it will associate the bed with comfort and will want to spend a lot of time there.
Make sure your living space has a bowl for food and water. You will also probably want to put plenty of toys down so that your puppy doesn’t decide to chew on the bowls or the bed. You can quickly go through supplies, such as bowls and bedding, if you don’t give your Chihuahua puppy other things to chew on.
Your Chihuahua puppy’s living space should be comfortable for your dog, with plenty of Chihuahua puppy supplies, because you want your dog to be happy for as long as he or she lives. Just remember that Chihuahua puppies are very social dogs so they will probably want to go where you do. If you want to make sure that your puppy spends a lot of time there, make sure it’s in an area where people will be, too. Otherwise, you will find that you went to all the trouble for creating a living space for your new puppy for nothing.
