What's the difference from a micro teacup chihuahua and a teacup chihuahua?

There is no such thing as a "toy chihuahua", "teacup chihuahua", "micro teacup chihuahua", etc.
There is only "chihuahua".

Here is ACK's breed standard for chihuahuas:
http://www.akc.org/breeds/chihuahua/
By the breed standard, they should not exceed 6 pounds in weight.

They are already the smallest breed of dog, they don't need to be any smaller! These "toy" and "teacup" dogs are often the runts and are more prone to health problems.

The Chihuahua Club of America does not condone the practice of "toy", "teacup", "mini", etc., chihuahuas.

Micro is smaller I suppose, but there is really no breed standard for "teacup" dogs. They are just dogs that are breed to be small and consequently have health issues.

The micro is more unhealthy than the other. There is no such thing as teacups. It is a bogus term people use to try to sell extra small sickly dogs.

Is there such thing as a microchihuahua, cause if there was it would probably need a microscope to see it.

There is no such thing as a teacup chihuahua. According to the AKC standard, there is only one acceptable size of a chihuahua- 6 lbs and under. Don't let anyone try to make you pay more for a "type" that doesn't exist!

annoying and more annoying! inbred and more inbred. health problems and more health problems. see a pattern here?

No difference. They both are created by backyard breeders as runts of the litters. Chihuahua has only one size.

There is no difference, micro teacup, teacup, and regular chi, they are all the same dog. The only reason bad breeders give them these descriptions is to convince you to pay more for them, they want to fool you into thinking they will be smaller.

When does the atomized version come out?

The advertiser in the first one is trying to set his/her dogs apart from "regular" teacup chihuahuas. Both of these "variations" are usually unhealthy dogs because they're so small. If you want a chihuahua, you're going to end up with an adorably small dog even if you get one from a good, reputable breeder.

In fact the Chihuahua Club of America has this to say about "teacups":

"The Chihuahua Club of America is concerned that these terms may be used to entice prospective buyers into thinking that puppies described in this way are of greater monetary value. They are not and the use of these terms is incorrect and misleading."

I dont believe there is such a thing as a micro teacup..
I think this person is just trying to make some extra money or trying to make people think they have something extra special or rare.
Go to the Akc website, and look up the breed standard.
think twice about dealing with any person trying to sell you something that realy isnt…
more often then none,,they have probably cross bred to get something a little smaller, and flubbed up the papers to have papers on them and make a little money…
smaller dogs also tend to have more health issues, so when you get a dog, make sure you have a good health guarentee (like 1 year) and make sure that they have the puppy under a guarentee against any health problems for the first 60 days.
References :
expierience ! I bought a teacup yorkie terrier, and two weeks later he needed emergency vet care, and there was no guarentee from the breeder, so I ended up with a HUGE vet bill..He also ended up be a mixed breed with AKc papers because the breeder "flubbed" up the papers to make a little money - he was from a "accidental" litter

There is no difference. They are both the same in the sense that..they are both MAKE BELIEVE! :]

Breeders slap cutsey names on dogs to make them more appealing to the consumer. Like the whole "designer dog" dealio. Get it?

There is no such thing as micro, teacup or miniature Chihuahua's. Chihuahua's are of the toy breed. According to AKC standard it's 6 lbs and under. Are there Chihuahua's over 6lbs, yes but you couldn't show them in competition. There are Chihuahua's that are very small as well but often enough these are the runts of the litter and are generally not very healthy. Which leads to expensive vet care and eventually heart break. Unethical breeders out for money and not the breed will breed runts together so that they can sell the puppies as teacup or micro or miniature for an outrageous amount of money. I have four chi's one is just under 3 lbs (runt of the litter), a 4.5 lb one, a 5 lb one and a 6.5 lb one. They are all wonderful little dogs.

Nothing really.. Except 1 is a dog that is bred from 2 small sickly runts, and the other is bred from 2 very very small sickly runts.. Dogs aren't like computers.. Computers you can make them smaller and smaller and they still work.. Dogs you keep trying to make them smaller and before you know it you have this horribly defective, sickly little dog that is a nervous neurotic wreck that cannot be trained, and has no teeth and pees everywhere he goes.. This is a puppymill backyard breeder scam you are talking about.. They do this for people like you who want a dog but don't want any trouble.. Something you can carry in your shirt pocket.. You think it's a great idea, and they sell you the sick little dogs that will not last more than a couple years..

if a person says they own a "teacup" Chihuahua - they are an idiot

if a person says they own a "micro teacup" Chihuahua - they are a big idiot

there is no such thing as either - both would be people refering to their dogs using terms of vanity to express how small the dog is - the unnaturally small dogs are either products of bad breeding, bad nutrition, poor genetics, or runts…
such dogs have shorter lifespans and more health problems…

To small and very very too small. Teacup means very small and it doesn't mean it's better. Many times the very small ones are runts (which means the unhealthy one of the litter) and these unhealthy pups are being bred to produce even smaller (and unhealthier) puppies. Stay away from anyone who breeds very small and very big. Drastic sized dogs only lead to puppies with health problems.

I guess micro is smaller.

I agree when I bought my dog Lupe , she is full grown and weights 4lb 4oz if even that, and her brothers are nothing like her she was the runt but the most beautiful. I don’t believe in the micro Chihuahua’s but she looks like one.
